March-April News

By admin, March 17, 2015

Brethren and visitors,

We have a lot going on right now. We have been passing Lee Forrest through his degrees and anticipate a third degree toward the end of April.
On March 12, Clarksville Lodge sent Ben Ploof to the scholarship selection meeting where two recipients, Ruby Murray and Mikinna Kerns, were selected. We are proud of these recipients’ achievements and look forward to presenting their awards during the Annual Public School Night on April 16th. Attendance to this event is STRONGLY encouraged as we need at least six members in attendance representing our Lodge.
In addition, Clarksville is seeking out a “Teacher of the Year” candidate. Applications must be submitted to The Grand Lodge of Iowa by May 1. Junior Warden Dustin Thompson is investigating potential applicants for this award but if you know of a teacher who is deserving, by all means get them an application.
Clarksville is also considering starting a new fundraising tradition, possibly involving pancakes. Discussion will occur during the April meeting and updates to this discussion will be posted here on our website.

Fraternally,

Dan Hansen, WM
